Most of the men we work with at The Tummy Team used to be more active, involved in sports, and devoted to abdominal workouts. Now, they spend most of their days sitting at desks, driving, and being fairly sedentary.

If you are one of these men, pain has cropped up because your internal core muscles are relatively inactive and not effectively engaged. Your core muscles are designed to wrap around your torso to stabilize your spine, support your organs, and to connect your upper and lower body for efficient pain-free movement.  When the core is functionally weak our body basically collapses and, over time, is forced to recruit a variety of alternate compensation strategies. The collapse results in poor posture, a bulging tummy, diastasis recti, constipation, abdominal hernias, abdominal pain, and prostate issues. The compensations result in the pain and instability you are now experiencing.

Traditional treatment focuses on treating the pain or dysfunction. The Tummy Team focuses on the root cause of these symptoms – a functionally inactive core – through our Functional Core Rehabilitation programs.
